This month we welcome STNM Board President & Professional Storyteller, Juba Addison, as Workshop presenter in lieu of traditional storycrafting. Sarah Malone will be this month’s host.

Workshop Title: I am Somebody

“I Am Somebody,” is inspired by an article published by storyteller, Linda Gorham in the Story Crossroad Newsletter, and by Jesse Jackson’s motivational poem of the same title. The workshop goal is to encourage participants to create their own stories, enhance their self-worth, and promote mutual respect.

Workshop Format: Participants will reflect on memories from different periods of their lives from which they can draw to create stories. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of who they are and a roadmap for their future selves. Participants can better understand their identity and values by asking themselves, “Who am I?” and providing details about their lives.

Juba writes, “I am committed to making this workshop a transformative experience for participants. This workshop can help people create inspiring stories and, in turn, inspire others to do the same. I am excited to host this workshop and believe it will be a valuable experience for all participants.
