All Is Calm

Written by Peter Rothstein, with vocal arrangements by Erick Lichte & Timothy K. Takach

Awards: Winner of the 2019 Drama Desk award for ‘Most Original Theatrical Experience’, the show recounts the extraordinary night during the first winter of WWI, when soldiers stopped exchanging fire to share the holidays with each other in the “No Man’s Land.”

The script is a remarkable fusion of carols and songs from the period, performed a capella, with excerpts from soldiers’ poems, letters and memoirs.
