Winter's Gifts of Rest and Renewal featuring Eldrena Douma and Jude Tripp

From the natural order of winter comes the honoring of stillness and silence. During this season of rest, songs and stories renew our ties to the sacred.

Eldrena Douma, grew up in the pueblo tribes of Laguna, Tewa, and Hopi. She is an educator who travels throughout the United States sharing stories, leading workshops, and encouraging the use of imagination, creative thinking, and writing. Jude Tripp came to storytelling by sharing her tales with English Language students and as a regular feature for her international community’s monthly Champagne Sunday in rural Portugal. Since returning to Albuquerque she has shared stories at Tortuga Gallery, ABQ Folk Festival, Tellabration, and Jemez Springs, and hosts backyard fireside story socials.

Cost: $10 at door. Refreshments available at intermission; stories suitable for ages 12 and up.
