WHEN: Wednesday, October 11, 2023
TIME: 6:30 - 8:30 pm on Zoom (MST)
THEME: Eclipse
With the annular eclipse of the sun coming soon, we thought we’d have some fun with that old Greek/Latin word. Not just the naming of a celestial phenomenon, the word “eclipse” carries ancient meanings of darkness, abandonment, forsaking. Oh my! However, in an annular eclipse of the sun, there is a reassuring circle of light around that darkened sun. And even with a total eclipse, the light does return—at least so far!
Okay…got an eclipse story, whether celestial or more down to earth? Have you watched an eclipse? Felt eclipsed? Know an old tale about the sun and the moon hanging out together?
Traditional or personal, original or literary. We’d love to hear your tale … Eight minutes or less please..
Your story could be something new you’re developing, or an old favorite, or one that’s not at all related to the topic. Listeners as well as tellers are welcomed.
We look forward to gathering with you for stories. If you are newly joining us, we ask that you take your first session to listen to our stories and to observe the process.
RSVP: Please RSVP to get the link by emailing the Program Coordinators, Lucinda and Regina. Check our calendar for a new theme at the beginning of each month.
