World Storytelling Day 2025

  • Special Collections Library 423 Central Avenue Northeast Albuquerque, NM, 87102 United States (map)

Theme:  Deep Water

World Storytelling Day is celebrated annually around the spring equinox since 2001. It traces its origins back to Scandinavia it now flourishes in countries worldwide.

In a world the daily news relentlessly tells us is “divided”, New Mexico storytellers are coming together once again to share stories and help build community on World Storytelling Day. This locally sponsored, but global, event celebrates the art and practice of oral storytelling, with a goal to bring as many people together in our story circle as we can. We invite both story tellers and story listeners to join us as we explore the global theme of Deep Water. Where will this theme take us?
