STNM offers occasional workshops and workshop series as part of our educational mission. Workshops are geared toward those who want to to improve their storytelling skills and/or who want to learn about the history, art, and practice storytelling. See below for current workshop offerings,

 
 

Gateways to Storytelling: Where Can You Go and How Can You Get There?

From ancient roots to contemporary expressions, this overview of the history and varied applications of storytelling explores how intention, skill and ‘story sense’ all come together to create a well-told story. Will include a discussion of desired elements of third and fourth workshops.

Personal Storytelling:  Finding and Crafting a Great Story

Have you ever wanted to perform at a storytelling event? Learn how to turn a personal life experience into a crafted story that you'll feel confident telling on stage.

Traditional Storytelling: Reclaiming Roots so our Personal Narratives Can Bloom

The old stories offer metaphors that help shape our personal stories. They are still with us because they are about us. Come find out how to use them to make your personal tale more powerful.
