MAKE GOOD TROUBLE, will highlight the struggles and accomplishments of four amazing women:
Ida B. Wells, NAACP co-founder and anti-lynching crusader
Mary White Ovington, co-founder of the NAACP
Fannie Lou Hamer, voting and women’s rights activist
Estefanita Martinez (Blue Water), Tewa linguist and storyteller
Juba Addison is a descendent of Nigerian and West African Griots. Her grandmother taught her that she is the keeper of the stories, and she must pass them on to all of God’s children. She weaves American history, culture, and folklore through her timeless tales. She has served on the Boards of the National Storytelling Network (as the Western Regional Director), as well as Storytellers of New Mexico (as President) and was President of the Storytellers of Las Cruces. She is an Oracle Award recipient of the National Storytelling Network.
Sarah Malone is a bilingual storyteller who has woven tales for children and adults for over 30 years. She is a published author, recording artist, a founding member of Storytellers of New Mexico and an Oracle Award recipient of the National Storytelling Network.
