When the Duke of La Rochefoucauld described the events of the day before, in 1789 Paris, to King Louis XVI, the King asked, “Is it a revolt?” The Duke replied, “No Sire, it’s not a revolt; it’s a revolution.”
As July 14th is Bastille Day, we thought we’d honor that flashpoint in French history by focusing on stories that evoke fireworks and great change. Got any? It might just be a moment when you put your foot down and said, “Enough!”
