This year STNM's "Pride Month" event is devoted to stories from friends in the Transgender community. These storytellers are sure to open hearts and minds with their authentic, heartfelt tales of confronting gender dysphoria, transitioning from a gender assigned at birth to their true selves, negotiating familial and societal responses, and more. These stories need to be heard, especially at a time when transgender needs are likely to be misconstrued, diminished, and/or ignored in the media and by governments.
